La Peluda Garnacha Peluda

La Peluda Garnacha Peluda

La Peluda is a limited, single parcel wine from a corner of the Mas d’en Cosme estate. Running along the edge of a dry creek bed, where a high proportion of blue slate has been deposited, sits a cluster of 90-year-old Garnacha Peluda vines. This less fertile and less popular clone of Garnacha is vinified separately and bottled as La Peluda.

The wine shows intense flavours of raspberry, orange rind, five spice and liquorice, held together by firm, smooth tannins. Like all of Celler Comunica’s wines, La Peluda is immediately approachable, but there’s some serious structure and depth to this old vine red.
