Comando G 'Las Umbrias' Garnacha
Comando Gās Las Umbrias is a single vineyard wine grown at over 1,000 metres above sea level, near the town of Rozas de Puerto Real.
The vines sit in a sheltered corner between two converging slopes which, along with the typically overcast conditions around Rozas, means theyāre in nearly perpetual shade.
The result is an incredibly pale, delicate and highly aromatic Garnacha. Despite itās rose-like colour and ethereal nose, Las Umbrias is backed by a very intense, powerful structure. To borrow the phrase usually reserved for Musigny, this is as close as Garnacha gets to an iron fist inĀ a velvet glove.
